Charlton Athletic vs Leyton Orient Preview

Last updated : 25 January 2010 By Matt Fricker

With Leeds deciding that getting as far in the FA is a benefit for them, the Addicks and fellow championship chasers Norwich have decided to catch up the League leaders and turn this into a solid three horse race.

That’s if we win tonight of course.

Leyton Orient and the sky cameras are the visitors to SE7 tonight as Charlton look to extend their unbeaten run to 11 games and go joint top of the league, with only goal difference keeping the Addicks in 3rd place.

The O’s gave Charlton a tough match in August at Brisbane Road as Phil Parkinson’s men came back from 1 – 0 down to win 2 – 1 in a fantastic victory.

Five months later and a much colder night will greet the Addicks faithful at The Valley tonight.

Geraint Williams side currently lie in 19th place and will be looking to go home tonight knowing that they’ve dented Charlton’s promotion chances.

My prediction for tonight’s starting line up is:

GK: Rob Elliot

RB: Frazer Richardson

CB: Miguel Llera

CB: Christian Dailly

LB: Grant Basey

RM: Lloyd Sam

CM: Nicky Bailey ©

CM: Jose Semedo

LM/ SS: Jonjo Shelvey

CF: David Mooney

CF: Deon Burton

Subs: Darren Randolph, Chris Solly, Matt Spring, Scott Wagstaff, Therry Racon, Leon McKenzie, Chris Dickson

Come on you Addicks!
