West Ham 0 Charlton 2

Charlton record their second away win of the season with a 2-0 win at West Ham's Bowling Ground.

Charlton kicked off knowing they would have to get a result to improve the fans morale after a second defeat at the valley. The game started strongly with Claus Jensen hitting home from Luke Youngs long throw. The danish international scoring his first goal of the season.

Although the Hammers were on top the addicks capitalised on an unsettled partnership of Tomas Repka and and Christian dailly. Claus Jensen took the corner on the 44th minute and Svennson headed down for Jon Fortune to convert.

West Ham came out knowing they had to get a goal soon to turn the game around and give their fans something to cheer about. Plenty of chances came their way from Kanoute and a certain Joe Cole having a good game infront of Sir Sven!

Unfortunately for West Ham they couldnt prevent charlton from rising to fifth position in the premier league. This was due to some great defending by the addicks. Rufus was named man of the match for his great performance, while Kishishev performed well with a few good efforts to his name.

Claus Jensen was a strong figure through the heart of the team and the whole team performed in a manor which will please charlton fans going in to the short break for england friendly game. Maybe Rufus has been noticed by Mr. Erikkson and he may well be in the England squad next week!

Come On You Addicks!!

This was a great result for us. To be honest i didnt think we will get a win here. Charlton defended brilliantly and Rufus was outstanding ib front of the England boss. Nice to see we can win away from home but lets hope we can get a home victory soon.
