Charlton made it three wins in a week to remain at the top of League One after a comfortable 4-0 win at Hartlepool.

Bradley Wright-Phillips was the difference in the first half with two predatory strikes.

The division's top scorer netted his first after nine minutes. The ball was sprayed left to Rhoys Wiggins whose cross was turned in from 14 yards.

Pools went closest to scoring 10 minutes later when, from Evan Horwood's cross, Adam Boyd's effort was clawed out of the top corner by Ben Hamer.

But Wright-Phillips struck again after 38 minutes, neatly turning in a Johnnie Jackson cross from six yards.

After the break Danny Hollands headed in Jackson's free-kick, and Pools' fourth successive home defeat was completed four minutes from time when substitute Scott Wagstaff clinically netted a Andy Hughes pass.
