Bristol Rovers 2 - 1 Charlton

All credit to Bristol Rovers, they were the better team and deserved to win, but this is a Charlton page, and so I’m going to be biased.

Charlton were once again…. Crap.

Sadly for the Addicks, the writing seemed to be on the wall after 15 seconds when Grant Basey had his leg broken in a shocking challenge, even more shocking was the bottling ref only dishing out a yellow card for the offence.

As Chris Solly came on Charlton immediately looked shaky. Worse came when Solly tried to get involved and looked very uncomfortable at left back, and the sub wasn’t helped by a midfield that could best be described as non-existent.

In his post match comments, Parky said that everything that could have gone wrong, did, and I agree, the gas men took two great chances to score and missed half a dozen easier attempts, whereas we couldn’t even get a decent effort on goal until the 96th minute.

Thankfully the Addicks return home to The Valley on Saturday for the visit of Yeovil, where they shall be greeted by a faithful roaring for victory, and a return to the Charlton side that we saw at the beginning of the season.

Parky speaks like a fan, and the pain on his face shows he cares about this club, and should be given as long as he needs at the helm, but the truth is much graver.

If we don’t get out of League One this season, we will make Crystal Palarse look like a rich club as we struggle for survival.

Come on you Addicks!!!
