The Gunners produced some sublime football before they got bored.

There was an utter lack of passion about Charlton and their timid tactics invited Arsenal to put them to the sword from the off. The Addicks were all over the place at the back and with Darren Bent operating as a lone striker ahead of a five-man midfield, they posed no attacking threat.
