My Views: Charlton vs Norwich

My Views: Charlton 4 Norwich 0

Charlton have now recorded back-to-back victories in the Premiership and have scored 7 goals in 2 games. So is this now the turning point we needed for our season?

I knew the Norwich game was going to be a big game for us. The win over Tottenham last week made it a big game, as there isn’t to many opportunities in a season to get back-to-back victories in the Premiership.

Even though at the end of the game we had won comfortably. It really wasn’t that simply. Norwich were tough to beat, especially in the second half. They dominated the opening 15 minutes and put as under real pressure. And had 2 gaols disallowed for offside (which they were) but still made us work for the result.

As soon as the 3rd went in, Norwich knew it was game over. And you could tell as we got more into the second half and was unlucky not to get 2-3 more.

Johansson is the man of the day. And looked backed to his best. It was certainly his best performance in a Charlton shirt over the last 2-3 seasons. He scored two great goals and set up another.

It looks like Alan Curbishley has finally found a winning formula. I noticed it against Spurs and he did it again against Norwich. He plays a 4-5-1 formation with Lisbie up front and JJ and Thomas on the wings supporting Lisbie when we go forward. It worked against Spurs and worked again against Norwich. Against Man U away next week will be more difficult.

Overall it was great to see a good win at The Valley. We don’t see many 4-0's at home but it was great for the fans and hopefully will end the booers at The Valley.
