My Views: Charlton 1 Blackburn 0

Well its official - this is Charlton's best start to a season. Now for me it doesnt feel like our best start to a season but I think that is because we keep mentioning the away form and the 2 four goal defeats away from home. But it is our best start and after yesterdays 1-0 win im a happy Addick again.

Blackburn was always going to be difficult, even if they are struggling at the bottom with a new manager, they always seem to perform well at The Valley. As for Charlton it was a better performance, probably te best performance since the Villa game. But what was good about that match was there were so many positives.

Once again Curbishley made the changes, and once again left the likes of Euell and Rommendahl on the bench and brought in Stuart and El Karkouri in midfield, both performed really well but I think Rommendahl would of been effective in this type of game as it was played on the counter attack.

Kevin Lisbie had a good game, he was quiet in the first half but in the second he look dangerous with his pace and his heading ability and that is good to see because for a short player, Lisbie can certainly get in for the headers and could do well if only he can take his chances.

The 1-0 win was very useful, the only real moan was about the referee who didnt have a clue near the end but then again I would say that as it was our decisions he got wrong.

We are 7th in the league and are still undefeated at home, so can we really moan about the start we have had? the next two 3 games will be big - Arsenal away, Newcastle at home and Liverpool away, if we manage 4 points from 9 I will be happy.
