My Views: Charlton 1 West Brom 4

Now I know this weeks My Views will not be liked from anyone supporting West Brom but I had to get a few things straight.

All weekend I have had to put up with newspapers saying how great West Brom were and even Match of the Day saying what a performance, but surely they wasnt watching the same game as me?

Before I begaining moaning, I know a few Spurs fans will say the same happened to them on wednesday but I disagree.

And I know im abit of a bad loser here but lets get things straight, I honestly thought West Brom played badly, they struggled to pass the ball and were awful in defense. Norwich played better this season and had more chances and we beat them 4-0. But somehow WBA won 4-1.

And the star man of the match was Mr Hasley - the referee who once again cost us the game, he has been in charge of 4 Charlton games this season. Three were defeats against Man City (4-0) Arsenal (3-1) and Boro (2-1) and one draw against Newcastle (1-1). It does make you wonder why we haven't won when he is incharge.

Now im not complaining about the red card - although it did spoil the game. And it was a penalty. It was just all the decisions inbetween that anoyed me. Stupid free kicks and corner decisions ruined it.

Once we went down to 10 men we didnt have much of a chance. Although Bartlett missed a sitter in the second half, West Brom were always going to counter attack us and eventually score. They did out play us for the first 10 minutes but as soon as we got the goal back, we looked like winning the game.

Even in the second half we had chances but as soon as West Brom scored the second, it was game over.

Its been a few days now since the defeat and West Brom do deserve some credit, they did come at us and deserved to go one up. But as soon as we scored I could sense an easy win spoiled by the ref.

Man City are next at The Valley. Another must win game but they are all must win games for now onwards. At least Southampton won yesterday keeping it interesting at the bottom.
