West Ham Preview

How do you think your club will do this season??

Well I think there'd be slight disappointment if we didn't get close to matching our 7th place from last season. Under Roeder we've come on a lot, and are very close to being a really really good team. As usual, it's the away form that's the key, at home we feel fairly invincible at times...

Who do you think's your best/most on form player(s)?

Joe Cole is looking at the very top of his game - he's found the vision and shot to match all the promise he never quite delivered on in previous seasons. With only a couple of matches to go on, Sinclair looks sharp and Kanoute could finally deliver the season he's been capable of.

Your worst players?

Not too many of those about - John Moncur is frustrating but a fans favourite it seems. Roeder has done a fantastic job of trimming the squad of the real dross...

Any exciting new signings or gems in the squad that we might not know about?

Well I'm still 100% convinced that young midfielder/forward Richard Garcia has what it takes, but unfortunately he has Cole, Carrick and Defoe to get past to have a look in in the team. Also loan signing Edouard Cisse from PSG looks like a very capable young midfielder with a bit of bite in the tackle.

What sort of line-up can we expect?

Always 4-4-2 at home, the team almost picks itself...
James, Repka, Dailly, Winterburn, Schemmel, Lomas, Carrick, Cole, Sinclair, Kanoute, Defoe.

The only question marks are whether Breen might get into the defence, with Dailly replacing Winterburn at left-back. Also Lomas is a doubt, so Cisse would deputise.

Your best chant(s)?

We've only got one song...

What do you think Charlton will achieve this season?

Kinsella must be a loss. Being frank about it, you look at Charlton's squad and wonder if they've got what it takes to stay in the division, but I see no reason why Curbishley won't marshall you to mid-table safety once again. The worry is that if you got caught up down the bottom of the league there might not be the genuine quality there to get you out of it.

Which Charlton player will you fear the most?

Euell really tore us apart at times at your place - seems to have a good football brain to go with his eye for goal, probably because he played midfield earlier in his career.

Predicted score??

I think we will win, 3-1 is my hopeful guess...
