Kishishev said: "The fact that the manager has picked me in almost every game this season when I've been fit, shows me that things are personally going well for me this season."

"We had a great start to the season and everybody was saying the midfield three, with me, Alexei Smertin and Danny Murphy, were doing really well. Then people began to criticise the team and a few individuals during our mid-season that was bad results-wise. But that criticism served to create a strong union amongst the players and we have managed to pull things around as a team since then."

Hughes said: "Murphy and Smertin were our best two creative midfielders early in the season but I have broken into the team and played regularly, starting on the left of midfield, just to do a job for the side, but then back into my favoured central midfield role."

Last Sunday, Charlton went to Liverpool and drew 0-0, after beating them 2-0 at the Valley in February.

He added: "Not many teams can say they've taken four points off Liverpool this season - it was a great point for us."
