Full-back Young is the only Addick named in Sven Goran Erikkson’s senior squad for the friendly against Argentina.
Bent hasn’t scored since 1st October and the decision to include the striker in Peter Taylor’s squad so soon after his first senior call international up was welcomed by his manager at club level.
Alan Curbishley told the Evening Standard: "Darren’s form has dipped a little along with our form as a club. He has had a heavy cold as well and we haven’t seen the Darren Bent we saw at the start of the season.
"Darren Ambrose is another who needs a couple more games following his suspension to show his real self.
