Toddy Signs New Deal

Todorov joined last July but suffered a knee ligament injury in October in defeat to Plymouth at the Valley, which kept him out for the rest of the season.

Toddy is now nearing full fitness and manager Alan Pardew was delighted to have kept the former Portsmouth and West Ham frontman.

"He's fitter now than when we signed him last summer," said Pardew.

"He's a great player, and I know he wants to prove to Charlton fans that he can make a big contribution to the club."

"We brought Toddy in to be a big factor for us last season, but his injury robbed him and us of that opportunity,"

"We've now both taken the option to try again and a lot of it is down to Toddy himself because he wants to repay the faith Charlton have shown in him after all the work by our excellent medical staff. The contact discussions were easy and I applaud him for that."

"His dedication to regain fitness, especially after three cruciate injuries, is to his huge credit, and fingers crossed we get more out of him this year because we know he is good enough." the Addicks boss added.
