According to reports, Charlton have offered the manager's job to Hull City boss Peter Taylor.

Despite not applying for the job, it was believed that the former Brighton and Leicester boss was on the shortlist made by chairman Richard Murray and the board.

Reports are now floating around that Taylor could be named manager by the end of the week, and he may be bringing Ray Wilkins with him to become assistant manager.
