England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, is due to visit The Valley this saturday to watch Charlton host Tottenham Hotspur. But his assistant Tord Grip has revealed they have their eyes on a few of the home sides stars.

The England coach was at The Hawthorns on saturday to watch Charlton beat West Brom 2-1 and has admitted he was particularly impressed by two of the away sides players.

Danny Murphy, who got both of Charltons goals came in for praise from the Swede. He said: "In midfield we have had some good players like Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and David Beckham.

"But If Murphy goes on playing like he has done so far we will watch him

"He is doing well for Charlton and of course if you pick a player from a team doing well then you know that you will have a confident player, that's for sure."

But Danny Murphy wasn't the only Charlton player who has impressed Grip, He said: "Jerome Thomas on the left is an interesting player because he's also a very tricky player - he's quick and has good technique and likes to beat people. He's doing very well too."

Eriksson will name his squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Austria and Poland on Sunday 2nd October, maybe there'll be a couple of suprises included.
