The midfielder has signed on a one-month loan deal from Premier League side Stoke and the former Crystal Palace man is set so start alongside Nicky Bailey in the middle of the park.

The Addicks picked up their first win in 19 games against Norwich on Tuesday night and goalscorer Darren Ambrose should move to the wing with starlet Jonjo Shelvey returning behind the lone striker.

The question is who the lone striker will be with Deon Burton ineligible under the terms of his move from today's hosts Wednesday.

Andy Gray turned down a move to Stoke during the week and could be the man to start with Martyn Waghorn on the bench.

Possible side for Sheffield Wednesday: Elliot, Murty, Fortune, Hudson, Basey, Sam, Bailey, Soares, Shelvey, Ambrose, Gray

Subs: Randolph, Waghorn, Holland, Youga, Dickson
