Ref justice for Addicks

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson believes referee Jon Moss` decision to award Dagenham a penalty at the end of the first-half changed the course of the game after a 2-2 draw at The Valley. The Addicks looked like going into the break in front after Miguel Llera`s 10th-minute header. But Moss pointed to the spot on the stroke of half-time after adjudging that Therry Racon had tugged back Bas Savage and Danny Green converted the spot-kick. The decision infuriated Parkinson so much he was sent off and forced to watch the remainder of the game from the stands. "The first half was the best we have played and I thought it was a very good team performance and we probably deserved to come in two or three goals up," said Parkinson. "Obviously the ref has got Dagenham back in it with a decision nobody else in the ground could understand, so that changed the half-time in both dressing rooms. "We can have a moan about the ref and he deserves to take a bit of flak for that decision, but equally we went away from playing the football we did in the first half, which at times I thought was top class. "I asked the ref for his explanation of the decision and obviously it got slightly heated. That is wrong on my part and I shouldn't do that. He asked me to go into the stands and I've got to take that punishment on the chin but it should have been three points."
