Redknapp waits on injured pair

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is hoping for some good news on the injury front ahead of the London derby against Charlton.

Midfielder Jermaine Jenas and winger Junior Hoilett (both hamstring) picked up injuries during the 1-1 draw at Reading last time out but have had a fortnight to recover.

Defender Richard Dunne is available despite initial fears he would miss out but Redknapp will also check on Tottenham loanee Tom Carroll, who is on the mend after six weeks out with an ankle injury, and winger Matty Phillips after he withdrew from the Scotland squad with a hamstring problem.

But midfielder Alejandro Faurlin (cruciate) and striker Bobby Zamora (knee) are still sidelined while Nedum Onuoha picked up another hamstring and will be out for a few weeks.

Yann Kermorgant could be back in Charlton's starting line-up for the trip across London.

The striker returned from an ankle injury as a substitute against Leeds a fortnight ago and has trained over the international break.

But centre-half Leon Cort has suffered a setback in his bid to return from the knee injury which has kept him out since August and will be on the sidelines for a while yet.

Full-back Chris Solly has begun light training after a knee injury but he will not be rushed back into action
