Problems For Pardew

Saturday's draw against Hull saw both Lloyd Sam and Sam Sodje go off injured, as well as an abrupt end to Danny Mills' loan period after he was given a straight red card.

Sodje should be fit but top scorer Chris Iwelumo is doubtful after seeming to limp off the pitch at the end of Saturday's game.

This could see Pardew play a 4-4-2 formation with Izale McLeod partnering Luke Varney, who could return from a virus.
