Powell, the chairman of the Professional Footballers Association said he’s astounded there are no more England friendlies before Sven Goran Eriksson has to name his squad for the World Cup.
"Sven and the FA have obviously come to the agreement that there’s not another game before he picks the squad," said the Charlton defender who also believes that teammate Darren Bent will go to Germany in the summer if the England coach decides to take five strikers to the tournament.
