Powell Out Of Plymouth Visit

Last updated : 23 October 2007 By Paul Crisp
Powell suffered an ankle injury in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Wolves which leaves boss Alan Pardew without a recognized left-back.

There are a number of options available to Pardew, though, which could see any of Danny Mills, Yassin Moutaouakil, Osei Sankofa, Jose Semedo play out of position or young Grant Basey make his senior debut.

Madjid Bougherra suffered with sickness on Saturday and could make way for on loan Sam Sodje, who would be making his full debut.

In midfield, Therry Racon may start if Jose Semedo plays at left back, and Jerome Thomas could start on the right after Darren Ambrose picked up an ankle injury at the weekend.

And upfront, Svetoslav Todorov should start alongside Chris Iwelumo, with Luke Varney dropping to the bench.

Possible team for Plymouth: Weaver, Moutaouakil, Fortune, Sodje, Mills, Thomas, Zheng, Semedo, Reid (c), Todorov, Iwelumo

Subs: Randolph, Bougherra, Varney, McLeod, Racon
