The Addicks secured a third straight win since Powell replaced Phil Parkinson in the Valley hotseat courtesy of a Bradley Wright-Phillips goal at Yeovil on Saturday.
"It's a fantastic start for us and I'm very happy with the displays from the boys," said the former Charlton defender.
"They have been tremendous since the day I was appointed.
"It's totally down to them. They are the ones who have to go out there and I've told them they have to fight for every ball whatever team we are playing, whether it's a team at the top or the bottom."
