Plenty Of Changes For Canaries Cup Tie

Parkinson, in his first game since becoming permanent boss is without loanees Jay McEveley and Martyn Waghorn after they were refused permission to play by their parent clubs.

Martin Cranie has returned to Portsmouth after his loan spell ended and captain Mark Hudson is struggling through injury, as well as keeper Rob Elliot and striker Andy Gray.

Nicky Weaver is set to return but Darren Randolph may make his first start of the season in goal after his loan at Hereford United ended last week.

In defence, Yassin Mouatouakil may start at right-back with Grant Basey on the opposite side. In the centre, Jon Fortune could be partnered by Jose Semedo or Kelly Youga if skipper Hudson's injury prevents him from playing.

In midfield, Darren Ambrose has returned from his loan spell at Ipswich but is out through illness. Lloyd Sam and Hameur Bouazza should start on the wings.

Nicky Bailey plays his last game before a suspension and could be partnered by Matt Holland or Jonjo Shelvey in the centre.

Upfront, Deon Burton will be partnered by either Gray, Svetoslav Todorov or Chris Dickson.
