"They don't understand how hard he works on the training pitch, how good a coach he is and how good a manager he is," said Reid.
"I know the results haven't been great but that isn't down to him, that's down to the players.
"He's picked the team that he thinks is best and, most of the time, it has been the best. But the players haven't gone out and done their job.
"The manager can't legislate for that. It's not his fault, it's our fault."
