Parkinson disappointed with postponement

Premier League referee Andy D'Urso opted to call the game off at midday despite Parkinson and opposite number Nigel Adkins insisting they were happy to play.

"The pitch was in a lot better condition than when we played Luton a couple of weeks ago," said Parkinson.

"I've been on the pitch. We were going to train on it. We both wanted to play.

"The pitch was fine and the ref said he wanted to give it another 15 minutes and would make his decision at 12pm - and then he went out there and decided `no'.

"Before myself and Nigel got the chance to speak to him it had been announced on the tannoy and the Sky cameras had already got hold of the news it was off, so there was no way he was changing his mind at that point."
