Pardew: Write Us Off At Your Peril

A fluke goal from Owen Garvan and a Danny Haynes strike took the Tractor Boys above the Addicks in the table, and Charlton are now ninth in the Championship, a position that Pardew does not want to be in come the end of the season.

Pardew said, "I honestly believe there is enough quality down there in the dressing room, and and I think we have shown today that we still carry a major threat.

"The fans and the press that have seen the last two away games will have seen that we are far from finished, and things are far from over from us."

"It's a disappointing result as we controlled a large section of the game. You'd like to think chances would fall for us but nothing did today.

"I've seen this team play a lot worse and win, the Addicks boss added.

"We worked as hard as we possibly could today without a refereeing break or a moment of inspiration fall our way.

"It's frustrating but this group has got enough character and resilience in it to bounce back. I'm buoyed by the fact we had some very good performances today.
