Murray Praises Pardew

Pardew is the third man this season to be in the managerial hotseat in SE7, after the departure of Alan Curbishley in May after 15 years in the job.

After the failures of Iain Dowie and Les Reed from July to December, Pardew was brought in on Christmas Eve, and has performed miracles with a side who had just been knocked out of the Carling Cup by lowly Wycombe, when he came in.

And chairman Murray has stated that Pardew is the man to drag The Addicks out of the relegation battle, and into the Premiership safety net.

"He does believe in himself and his players and the club and the fans and I think everyone has rallied behind him," Murray said.

"He is a great leader."
