"I'm glad to get it sorted and I'm really pleased to be staying," he said.
"The Championship is a tough league with a lot more games but I think we have the ability in this squad to get back up. That's the aim this season, of course.
"It's been a funny summer really with the contract situation, and now I can't wait to get started."
