Ladies League Cup Final

Our opponents meanwhile issued the following message on their website this week: Supporters intending to travel for Sunday's Final between Arsenal Ladies and Charlton are advised that there are no trains running to High Wycombe over the weekend. For more travel information regarding this game, please contact Wycombe Wanderers FC.

The two sides have met already in 2005/06, when Charlton were unfortunate to be held at home to a 3-3 draw in the league on October 20th. The Addicks led 3-1 with just 15 minutes remaining, but a dubious penalty and then the dismissal of Emma Coss three minutes from the final whistle - not to mention a barely believable 11 minutes of injury-time - allowed the visitors to escape with a draw.

It was Arsenal that won the equivalent match between the two clubs 3-0 last season. Manager Keith Boanas, said: "The league cup final result last season was disappointing but there were contributing factors to that. Eniola Aluko was sick at half-time and Ann-Marie Heatherson was injured soon after she went on. The 3-3 draw this season was a fantastic game and a game we should have won, but again things went against us."
