The two sides have met already in 2005/06, when Charlton were unfortunate to be held at home to a 3-3 draw in the league on October 20th. The Addicks led 3-1 with just 15 minutes remaining, but a dubious penalty and then the dismissal of Emma Coss three minutes from the final whistle - not to mention a barely believable 11 minutes of injury-time - allowed the visitors to escape with a draw.
It was Arsenal that won the equivalent match between the two clubs 3-0 last season. Manager Keith Boanas, said: "The league cup final result last season was disappointing but there were contributing factors to that. Eniola Aluko was sick at half-time and Ann-Marie Heatherson was injured soon after she went on. The 3-3 draw this season was a fantastic game and a game we should have won, but again things went against us."
