Addicks boss Alan Curbishley said: "We set about having a strong squad this year but no sooner had I said that we had a fully fit squad in the run-in for the first time, we lost Luke Young."
January signing Marcus Bent has also been troubled by injury since his move from Everton. The striker said: "I started off with a bang but I've had niggling injuries and I've missed out on all the cup games (cup-tied)."
Bent, who faced his former club at The Valley on Saturday, looked on the positive side of Charlton's last two Premiership fixtures ending in goalless draws.
He added: "In previous seasons Charlton haven't won in their last 10 games - that record's gone out the window now."
