The 20-year-old Liverpool striker has joined on loan until the end of the season and is set to make his debut as the managerless Addicks chase their first league win since November.
Ipswich loanee Lee Martin returns after he was ineligible to play in the FA Cup defeat at Tottenham last Sunday, but fellow forward Paul Benson is in the middle of a three-match ban.
Two more strikers, Akpo Sodje (shoulder) and Joe Anyinsah (groin), came through unscathed against Spurs after their recent spells on the sidelines and will be available again.
Full-backs Chris Solly (ankle) and Kelly Youga (knee) remain long-term absentees.
