Dailly pens new Charlton contract

Christian Dailly has signed a one-year deal to extend his stay with Charlton Athletic until the summer of 2011.The experienced centre-half, 36, missed just two league games for the Addicks last season and was nominated as Player of the Year at The Valley.

Manager Phil Parkinson told the club's website: "It's great news for the club and we are pleased to extend his stay.

"His influence on the team was there for everyone to see last season and it's an important signing for us."
