Manager Phil Parkinson has confirmed the former Scotland defender will start at Griffin Park after completing a four-match ban for his red card against Yeovil last month.
Striker Akpo Sodje will be missing from the squad after suffering a suspected dislocated shoulder as a substitute during Sunday's shock 1-0 home defeat by lowly Walsall.
Parkinson has vowed to make changes following that disappointing display so Kyel Reid, Lee Martin and Pawel Abbott will push for places in the starting line-up.
Plymouth loanee Marcel Seip is cup-tied and fellow defenders Chris Solly (ankle) and Kelly Youga (knee) remain on the sidelines.
