The boss remains determined to turn the Addicks’ poor run of form around with victory over rock-bottom Sunderland, reported The Daily Mirror.

With speculation linking him with a move to Rangers on a weekly basis, he said: "I am not immune to what comes my way. I am unhappy but I don't get carried away. But if I did not care about what's been going on, I would have to question myself. No one was more pleased than me when Rangers got through to the last 16 of the Champions League. I've heard nothing from Rangers and neither has the chairman. I'm here having a bloody terrible time! But you can't hide away. There are clubs a lot worse off than us in the Premiership. We've got to turn it around and we've got an opportunity to do it this weekend and we've got to take it. It's a vitally important game for both sides and there's a lot riding on it."
