Without ruling himself out of the reckoning, Curbs insisted: "I find it disrespectful to Alex McLeish.

"People are talking about Rangers — but you will not hear anything from me about that. I just get on with what I do.

"I spoke to Richard Murray, our chairman. He has heard nothing, I have heard nothing."
