It was confirmed yesterday morning that Charlton had sold just 21,400 tickets for their tie against Middlesbrough at the Valley on Thursday night.
Addicks boss Alan Curbishley said: "Maybe it's down to the way the quarter-finals have been organised."
West Ham United were the last team to make it through to the quarter finals and the first team to reach the last four after they beat Manchester City last night. Liverpool take on Birmingham City this evening and Chelsea face Newcastle United tomorrow night to complete the round.
