Curbishley To Spend In The Summer

"I'm not going to spend a penny of the money in this window to bring people in who I don't think will make a difference," said Curbishley.

"I may do one transfer for the future, but I'm not going to rush out and
spend any money"."We'll save that and do what I think is right for the club."

The £10m that Charlton have received for the 23-year-old England
international is a club record, surpassing the £4.375m that Leeds United
paid for Danny Mills in 1999.

Curbishley: "All of the Parker money will be given to me to spend -
along with whatever else I can grab - in the summer, and then we'll move
on."
