Midfielder Joss Labadie returns to the Tranmere squad from his two-match ban and striker Dale Jennings has returned to training and could be in contention.
Defender Marlon Broomes (knee) is still out, but midfielder Ryan Fraughan (knee) could return in a fortnight.
Tranmere manager Les Parry told BBC Radio Merseyside: "This run of games we're having, together with the travelling, does make it hard but I thought the application on Tuesday against Exeter was magnificent.
"[Against Charlton] we've got to start the game well, try and silence the crowd and if we do that I think we'll do OK.
"We'll be going there looking for three points on Saturday, we need to be winning and I wouldn't take a point at the moment."
