Charlton V Crystal Palace at The Valley - Match Preview

Ricardo Fuller is pushing to make his full Charlton debut in the south London derby against Crystal Palace.

The Jamaican striker made his first Addicks appearance as a late sub in the 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest a fortnight ago and could start against the club where he began his career in England 11 years ago.

Midfielder Dale Stephens returns to the squad after missing out at the City Ground having been unsettled by a transfer deadline day link to Aston Villa.

Matt Taylor is still out after tearing a muscle in his foot so Leon Cort keeps his place at centre-half and faces his former club, as does full-back Rhoys Wiggins.

Striker Leon Clarke last week joined Scunthorpe on loan.

Crystal Palace skipper Paddy McCarthy misses the trip to his former club.

The defender, who moved to the Eagles from The Valley in 2008, has been ruled out for at least another month with the groin injury which has prevented him from making an appearance so far this season.

Boss Dougie Freedman could stick with the side which secured their first win against Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago, although he has plenty of options now after an injury-hit start to the campaign.

Midfielder Jonathan Williams is over a calf injury and pushing for a start while striker David Goodwillie could be handed a full debut following his loan switch from Blackburn.

Midfielder David Wright has joined Gillingham on loan and striker Kwesi Appiah has moved to Aldershot.
