Charlton V Cardiff at The Valley - Match Preview

Addicks without Wilson

Lawrie Wilson has become the latest addition to Charlton's casualty list ahead of the visit of npower Championship leaders Cardiff.

Wilson suffered a thigh injury during the first half of Saturday's 4-1 home defeat by Middlesbrough.

He is the third full-back currently crocked for the Addicks with Rhoys Wiggins still sidelined by a foot problem and Cedric Evina injuring his knee in training late last week.

Strikers Ricardo Fuller and Yann Kermorgant also remain in the treatment room.

Fuller has yet to recover from a hamstring injury and Kermorgant is out until the new year with a broken ankle.

Reserve forward Michael Smith has been loaned to Newport for a month.

Cardiff travel to the Valley without the injured trio of Jordon Mutch, Craig Bellamy and Tommy Smith as they look to turn around their disappointing away form.

Despite having a perfect winning record at the Cardiff City Stadium, Malky Mackay's men have lost three of their last four matches away from South Wales and have conceded 13 of their 17 goals this season in games on the road.

And they'll look to get back to winning ways without three key men as Bellamy and Smith are unlikely to feature for another two to three weeks and Mutch is still suffering from an ongoing nerve problem in his foot.

Despite a few slight knocks Mackay is likely to make the journey to London with the same squad that lost 2-1 to Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday.

That defeat, coupled with an impressive away victory for Middlesbrough against Tuesday night's opponents Charlton, means the Bluebirds go into this match top of the table on goal difference.
