Charlton V Burnley at The Valley - Match Preview

Kermorgant banned for Addicks

Charlton striker Yann Kermorgant is suspended for the visit of Burnley.

The Frenchman starts a three-match ban after he was sent off for kicking out at Nottingham Forest's Greg Halford during the Addicks' 2-0 defeat last weekend.

His absence could pave the way for a full debut for on-loan Tottenham frontman Jon Obika, who came on as a late sub against Forest.

Ricardo Fuller and Danny Haynes are also in contention for places in attack.

Midfielder Danny Hollands is still missing with a foot injury but Powell has an otherwise fully-fit squad to choose from.

Lawrie Wilson could return after dropping to the bench against Forest, while Salim Kerkar may be added to the squad having missed out at the weekend.

Sean Dyche is facing threadbare options in midfield as his Burnley look to arrest a six-game winless streak.

Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield was compounded by the loss central pair Dean Marney and Chris McCann with respective calf and hamstring problems and the duo are very doubtful for the trip to the Valley.

They would join winger Ross Wallace (knee) and defenders Michael Duff (calf) and Ben Mee (knee) on the sidelines but Dyche believes such situations provide opportunities for the likes of Marvin Bartley, who replaced McCann in midweek.

"It's touch and go with him (Marney) and Chris McCann, on top of the list that includes Duffo, Ben and Ross," he told the Clarets' official website. "I don't think they will be quite there for Saturday. Might be, but unlikely.

"They are important players but it gives others an opportunity to stand up and play and play well.

"Marvin Bartley came on the other night and was chomping at the bit and I was really pleased with his 25 minutes.

"People like that are coming to the fore and saying `Right, I'll have a go. I'm ready'. Let's see if they are."
