Charlton V Blackpool at The Valley - Match Preview

Duo out for Addicks

Charlton will be without centre-halves Dorian Dervite and Leon Cort when they host Blackpool.

Dervite serves a one-match ban after he was sent off during last weekend's FA Cup defeat by Huddersfield, and Cort is sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Matt Taylor, who got a rare outing in the cup, is now set to make his first league start of the season at the back alongside Michael Morrison.

Full-back Rhoys Wiggins played for the reserves in midweek after four months out with a foot injury but he will not be rushed back.

Striker Danny Haynes is still missing with a hamstring problem and midfielder Andy Hughes remains sidelined by an Achilles injury.

Goalkeeper Ben Hamer, defender Chris Solly and striker Ricardo Fuller return after being rested on Saturday.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher is an injury doubt as Blackpool amid growing uncertainty over the future of manager Michael Appleton.

Lancashire neighbours Blackburn made an official approach to speak to Appleton on Wednesday night and the former Portsmouth boss was absent from training on Thursday, with assistant Steve Thompson taking the session.

Taylor-Fletcher suffered a back injury during last weekend's draw at Fulham in the third round of the FA Cup and faces a late fitness test.

Blackpool would be lightly stocked in attack if the former Hull man misses out, following Wes Thomas' return to Bournemouth at the conclusion of his loan spell at Bloomfield Road and Matt Phillips' (toe) continued injury absence.

Centre-back Ian Evatt remains on the sidelines due to bone bruising to his knee.
