Addicks add Ajdarevic

Swedish midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic could be in the Charlton squad for the visit of Barnsley.

Ajdarevic has agreed a six-month loan deal from Standard Liege, becoming the Addicks' first new signing since Belgian businessman Roland Duchatelet completed his takeover of the club.

Striker Marvin Sordell is out with a hamstring injury while full-back Lawrie Wilson was also feeling his hamstring when he was substituted against Ipswich last time out, so he will be checked over.

Goalkeeper Ben Hamer (ankle) will be on the bench again with Ben Alnwick keeping his place while centre-half Leon Cort is still out with a knee injury, although he has begun running.

Barnsley's new teenage loan signing Ryan McLaughlin is expected to make his debut.

McLaughlin, 19, joined on a month-long deal this week from Liverpool and could start at right-back, while another recent recruit, Brek Shea from Stoke, is likely to return to the starting line-up after he was refused to permission to play in last week's FA Cup defeat.

Manager Danny Wilson has no new injury or suspension worries, but defender Bobby Hassell (calf) remains a major doubt.

Striker Marcus Pedersen, winger Paddy McCourt, plus defender Lewin Nyatanga and Kelvin Etuhu are all in contention as the Reds chase only their second away win of the season.
