Croydon born Kiernan found the net 93 times as a left sided player in 401 league and cup games between 1949-61. Only six players have scored more goals for the club. He's also eighth in the Charlton's all-time appearance list.
He went on to deal in antiques in the Tunbridge Wells area and was recently living at Pembury, Kent, close by the home of his daughter Maureen.
