The 21-year-old, a £2.5m summer signing from Ipswich, will start upfront with Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, after scoring 13 league goals in his first top-flight season.
Meanwhile, Addicks skipper Luke Young will start on the bench. Gary Neville, who Young played instead of in the World Cup qualifiers after Neville’s injury, replaces him.
