In their last pre-season friendly of the summer at Dean Court, Charlton emerge victorious with goals scored by cultured midfielder Therry Racon and the impressive Lloyd Sam.

Racon scored from 20 yards in the 21st minute and Sam sealed the win with a goal in the 57th minute angling a shot off the inside of the right upright post after good build-up play from Shelvey.

By all accounts and according to reports on Bournemouth websites the win was thoroughly deserved as Sam, Racon and McLeod continued to create further chances all afternoon.

Brett Pitman pulled one back for Bournemouth before half time after a penalty was harshly awarded when the ball hit Racon, who had his arms down to his side, from a quickly taken corner.

The scheduled friendly against Dover on Tuesday evening has now been cancelled by CAFC due to 'internal' issues. So now it's onto the start of the L1  season and hopefully a win for the addicks against Wycombe.
