Addicks aim to welcome more young supporters

The club's chief executive, Peter Varney, said: "Our research showed that more and more youngsters have been priced out of purchasing season tickets."

He said the initiative has primarily been arranged in an effort to attract 250,000 members across Kent and the south-east whom Charlton FC come across during extensive community activities.

Thanks to the introduction of a new Under-21 pricing category, fans' within that age group will be able to purchase a season ticket up to 50% cheaper than they would have been able to this season.

Varney added: "Coupled with our ever-expanding Valley Express coach service, our strategy for the club's continued growth will ultimately take us towards a 40,000 capacity stadium."
