Yeovil Town vs Charlton Athletic PREVIEW

Last updated : 20 November 2009 By Matt Fricker

Charlton make the journey 138 miles south west this weekend to face Yeovil Town as the Addicks look to return to winning ways away from home.

The last time Phil Parkinson’s men won away from home was on August 29th with the 4-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers. Since then Charlton have seen 3 draws and 3 losses in six league away fixtures.

Yeovil are currently sitting in 12th place in League One with 21 points so far this season, and will be looking to pick up their first points against an opposition in the top 6 as they have failed to beat Leeds, Colchester, Norwich and Huddersfield during the campaign so far.

In team news for the Addicks Frazer Richardson unfortunately aggravated his hamstring injury during the win over MK Dons, meaning that Phil Parkinson will have a tough decision as to whether to play loan signing Elliot Omozusi at right back.

Parky could also send out the back line that finished last weekend’s match with Grant Basey and Kelly Youga filling the left and right back positions respectively.

Rob Elliot is apparently returning to fitness quickly but is expected to continue to rest until the club are 100% certain that he is ready to return.

With this in mind, I predict that Charlton will field an unchanged side of:

GK: Carl Ikeme

RB: Kelly Youga

CB: Christian Dailly

CB: Sam Sodje

LB: Grant Basey

RM: Lloyd Sam

CM: Jose Semedo

CM: Nicky Bailey ©

LM: Therry Racon

CF: David Mooney

CF: Deon Burton

Subs: Darren Randolph, Miguel Llera, Elliot Omozusi, Scott Wagstaff, Matt Spring, Leon McKenzie, Akpo Sodje

Come on you Addicks!
