Exeter City vs Charlton Athletic PREVIEW

Last updated : 24 April 2010 By Matt Fricker

Charlton make the long journey to St. James Park today knowing that nothing other than a win will keep their dreams of automatic promotion alive.

Today’s game will not be simple however, as Exeter sit 2 points above the relegation zone and need the points as desperately as we do.

In terms of good omens for the Addicks, the Grecians haven’t won in their last 4 games. In bad omens, their last win was a 2 -0 victory over Colchester at St. James Park.

That said, as Phil Parkinson’s men proved against Norwich, we really shouldn’t be worrying about the play off’s in this league. Sadly too many weak performances and dropped points in the middle of the season meant that we start today’s game in 5th, but that’s football.

In team news for the Addicks, Nicky Bailey, Kyel Reid, Akpo and Sam Sodje are all injury doubts, but both Rob Elliot and Deon Burton are fully fit to play.

With this in mind, my prediction for the starting line up is:

GK: Darren Randolph

LB: Gary Borrowdale

CB: Christian Dailly

CB: Sam Sodje

RB: Frazer Richardson

LM: Kyel Reid

CM: Therry Racon

CM: Jose Semedo

RM: Lloyd Sam

CF: Deon Burton

CF: Nicky Forster

Subs: Rob Elliot, Chris Solly, Miguel Llera, Matt Spring, Jonjo Shelvey, Nicky Bailey, David Mooney

Come on you Addicks!!!
