Charlton vs Barnet PREVIEW

Last updated : 06 October 2009 By Matt Fricker

The Addicks will brave the South East London autumn rain tonight for their first home up action of the season against one of the teams to defeat the Addicks during the pre season campaign, Barnet.

Barnet currently sit in fourth place of League Two after six wins, three draws and two defeats in their opening eleven games.

In their previous tie in the JPT, Barnet saw off the challenge of fierce rivals Millwall in a 2 -0 victory which hampered the dreams of some Addicks to meet the Lions in the cup as well as the league.

In their past five games, the Bees have won two, drawn two, and lost one. It is worth noting however that their one loss was away to Rotherham United, and their victory in the first round of the JPT was a home tie.

After giving as good as they got at Elland Road on Saturday Phil Parkinson is expected to rest some of his key players tonight, however JPT rules state that six of the highest appearance makers of the squad have to be named in the starting eleven.

With this in mind, my prediction for the Charlton team is:

GK: Rob Elliott
LB: Grant Basey
CB: Kelly Youga
CB: Miguel Llera
RB: Chris Solly
LM: Nicky Bailey ©
CM: Matt Spring
CM: Jose Semedo
RM: Scott Wagstaff
CF: Deon Burton
CF: Izale McLeod

Subs: Darren Randolph, Christian Dailly, Frazer Richardson, Alex Stavrinou, Therry Racon, Jonjo Shelvey, Tamer Tuna

Come on you Addicks!
