Charlton Athletic vs Swindon Town PREVIEW

Last updated : 26 December 2009 By Matt Fricker

Merry Christmas all.

Charlton will today look to give all the Addicked the best Boxing Day present possible… three points.

Phil Parkinson’s men will not have an easy ride however as the visitors for today’s 1pm kick off are Swindon Town.

One of only three sides in the league whose form is as strong as the Addicks with 1 loss and 5 wins in their last 6 games.

The Robins currently sit in 6th place in League One and manager Danny Wilson will be looking to ensure that his side leave SE7 with a maximum haul to help in their promotion chase.

In terms of team news for the Addicks, Lloyd Sam is suspended following his 5th booking of the season against Millwall, while Kelly Youga and Frazer Richardson are both still doubts. It is also unlikely that David Mooney will be able to line up for Charlton following his withdrawal from Saturday’s tie with a knee injury.

With this in mind, my prediction for the starting line up is:

GK: Rob Elliot

RB: Elliot Omozusi

CB: Christian Dailly

CB: Sam Sodje

LB: Grant Basey

RM: Scott Wagstaff

CM: Jose Semedo

CM: Nicky Bailey ©

LM: Therry Racon

CF: Akpo Sodje

CF: Deon Burton

Subs: Darren Randolph, Miguel Llera, Frazer Richardson, Matt Spring, Jonjo Shelvey, Izale McLeod, Leon McKenzie

Come on you Addicks!
